Tour III (5 Days Trip): Tripoli - Ghat - Akakus

This is the longest tour towards the great Sahara Desert 1350 km south of Tripoli. During this trip you should realize that you are visiting an area less visited than the South Pole .

will see the most beautiful prehistoric cave paintings along the great Libyan Sahara Desert, with its infinity, its variety in landscape, huge expanses of rock worn smooth by wind, oasis of pure water and enormous sand dunes of over 330 m (1000 feet) in height.

You will have first-hand knowledge of how camels still render their reliable services to the man. Beneath the pure blue sky diamonds you will see deer sleeping out in the open, it will be unforgettable experience.

Departure form Tripoli to Ghat

2^{^nd} Day

Tour in Ghat old-Town and surrounding sand

dunes, and enjoying folkloric dances under the moon light.

3^{^rd} Day

Continue to Akakus Mountains to visit 10,000 year prehistoric cave painting, and sleeping the in the open, to spend a night time watching the moon and counting bright stars.

4^{^th} Day

Departing to Tripoli.

5^{^th}Day

Visiting Tripoli landmarks and museum during morning and afternoon. In evening open tour in

Tripoli, then departure.

Tour IV (7 Days Trip): Tripoli - Leptis Magana - Sirt - ...............................Benghazi - Tolmeta - Cyrene - Susa

The longest trip along the Mediterranean Coast of crystal sands.

1^{^st} Day

Departing to Liptes Magna 120 km east of Tripoli.

2^{^nd} Day

Arriving in Sirt about 450km east of Tripoli. In Sirt you will see the biggest pipes in the world of the Great Man Made River, which are 4 m in diameter, also you will see the biggest artificial lake of 4 km in diameter.

3^{^rd} Day

Arriving to Benghazi 1050 km east of Tripoli. Benghazi is the second city of Libya, after another 100 km the Green Mountain rise, here you will see the most kept secrets of old Phoenicians & Greek towns in Libya.

4^{^th} Day

Cyrene:-

It is difficult to find any better site of old Greek Towns than Cyrene. Cyrene is a fantastic site which is a wonderfully partly excavated, the chances are more than you could ever dream of , but you will discover pearls like Statues, unique Mosaics still kept under the sand, in fact you

will feel you are actually discovering something very precious.

5^{^th} Day

Susa (Appolonia):-

It was Cyrene's harbor. Its name from the " God" Apollo.

This harbor was well-known for exporting the medical plant (Silvium) which played an important role in the economic Life of Cyrene, to the extent that,it was stamped on its coin.

Its important ruins:

Ù The acropolis, on the southeast hill.

Ù The church of the three Angles design.

Ù The Hellenistic theatre.

Ù Baths.

Ù The Byzantine palace.

Ù The City Hellenistic walls.

6^{^th} Day Back to Tripoli

7^{^th} Day Tour in Tripoli and departure.
